Why don’t you post responses in bold? Won’t that solve the problem? Of course I am just coming off three days of IV steroids. I am likely to think anything is a good idea.

I can’t find a way to make my entry bold or increase the font size. I tried writing it in

Microsoft Word and then cut and paste it into the blog response space. It didn’t

work. I am going to try hitting the return key at the end of each line after I am done

typing the entire reply. I am afraid that it might screw up the formatting. It isn’t bold,

but it may be the best I can do.

I guess this is a test.

I believe the control over font color and thickness lies with the blog owner. The ball is back in your court.

Want to buy the blog? Firesale price.

Look around for the nearest 10 year old. They can show us to use these newfangled computers!

I don’t know if your blog is HTML, but posters should try before what they post and after. Example:

    This is a test

Don’t know if it will work, but worth a try.

      OK. Thanks.

Oops… it goes less than sign, lower case b, greater than sign.

    Then the body of text.

Then less than sign, backslash, lower case b, greater than sign.

Can’t show it exactly, because it won’t show up… it will just BOLD.

But it’s like this but without spaces:

    text

if it didn’t show up, then you’ll just have to go by this:

How would I enlarge the font and make it black instead of dark gray?

    Hi Fieldston!

Sorry my posts don’t make too much sense. The HTML text format tags don’t show up on the blog… just whatever the end result is. If you go to either of the links, they will show which tags do what and how to use them. I forgot that I used to use them all the time in chat rooms years ago. Just got lazy over the years I guess.

My first reply was code for ” I must have done something wrong because nothing showed up”

    • Richard M. Cohen June 23, 2014 at 8:45 am #

      I should not have asked.

Richard, sorry you are going through this. I hope the bolding of our replys helps you.
Thank you Christopher, I did not know how to make my text bold (and I hope that I have done it correctly)

I’d like to think it wasn’t enough coffee. I guess processing does take a while.

      I’ll buy that.

All of the responses read back to back are hilarious, even though the problem isn’t. Richard, I’m very sorry about your brother-in-law. I’m so sorry for Meredith – God Bless you all.

We are a funny bunch aren’t we? But hey, remember we have MS so we’ll try just about ANYTHING if we think it may solve the problem which can result in unintentional hilarity i.e.bee stings 🙂

  14. Jeff June 23, 2014 at 5:22 pm #

I’m a little late to the party here, but I am a web developer – with MS of course. Not sure which of these will work, but here goes:

    <b>test</b> = test

    and

    <h2>test</h2> = test

    and

    <h3>test</h3> = test

    • Jeff June 23, 2014 at 5:24 pm #

OK, so the h2 and h3 don’t do anything – they usually make text bold AND larger

  15. Kate Aquilino June 23, 2014 at 6:21 pm #

    Now that was funny!

  16. Betty Moody June 23, 2014 at 7:08 pm #

This is a test, and I am going to triple space too. Please humor me,

as I try to figure this out!

  17. Betty Moody June 23, 2014 at 7:10 pm #

I guess I need a bold code de-coder. Can anyone make this a 1,2,3 step…from the comment field please? 🙂

  18. Jeff June 23, 2014 at 10:04 pm #

Just put <b> before the bold text and </b> after it. So, if you want to bold everything, start with <b> and end with </b&gt

    • Jeff June 23, 2014 at 10:05 pm #

Oops, that end should be </b>

  19. Betty June 24, 2014 at 1:29 pm #

before the bold text, and after it.

If this works, Jeff, will you marry me?

  20. Yvonne June 24, 2014 at 4:38 pm #

I think Richard wanted us to talk amongst ourselves for a minute while he takes a short nap to reenergize those journalist muscles so he gave us a topic with a challenge 🙂

  21. Yvonne June 24, 2014 at 4:40 pm #

and he gets a chuckle as a bonus 😉

I make the background not as bright on my Mac top left key one in from the “escape key” which helps a bit too.
